Back In The NY Groove

We're excited, thrilled, elated at our most recent project! It hasn't even gone out the door yet, but we couldn't help ourselves. We recently got to travel back to our old stomping grounds for a weekend shoot in NJ. Seeing old friends and coworkers was great although we spent most of our time working on a new concept for our friends at Live Greater Foundation.

Twin brothers Angelus and Innocent (who actually have a triplet Katie) are also real-life Franciscan Friars. They are passionate about helping the poor and spreading their message through high-quality media. They're game changers, trying to spark new excitement within their church and throughout the world. It's called Icons Spotlight!

We helped them develop a network tv concept that they envisioned which will air soon on EWTN and other networks. It was such a blast. Our crew was amazing. The hospitality of all the friars at Most Blessed Sacrament in Newark, NJ was incredible. Look for more on this soon on Iconstv.org. Here are a few set shots...

A Royal Day

We've waited 30 years for a championship. KC finally got one, and it might have been worth the wait. I grew up a huge baseball fan and athlete. The select group of KC diehards definitely deserve this one. And yes, even my sister who I'm pretty sure got on the bandwagon last week can join in the fun too. Incredible what it has done for day-to-day citizenry in this community. Very happy to be apart of this. Go Royals!

Are You Asking 'How Do We Get Our Video Out There' ?

Are you in charge of your company's marketing or fundraising, and now you're asking 'how do I make sure our voice gets heard? How do we tackle the social media frenzy?' Well, we're here to help. Not only do we help you by producing a great video for your organization, but we stick with you to make sure you didn't just pay for great digital wall art.

Facebook Video Update

We just received an email from Facebook this morning showing how they are changing their video strategy on their site. Take a look at the screenshot. They're giving videos a higher priority (along with Google/YouTube), and allowing you to use Facebook ads to promote video. For a small cost, you can make sure your video appears on your target demographic's timeline.

Twitter Auto-Play Video Update

It's clear video is quickly becoming a priority for Google/Facebook/Twitter. Twitter also just announced their Twitter Promoted Video campaign. Now ads will start auto-playing videos on their timelines. This is big for companies and orgs. Their research has shown 14% higher recall, 2.5x more likely to prefer autoplay videos, 7x increase in completions of videos watched.

As much as we might all despise some of the negatives that social media brings, it is clear it has become a necessity for businesses to thrive. We've personally seen about 80% of our traffic comes from Facebook and direct campaigns. It's hard to argue with that. The good news is that it's becoming more user friendly. Companies are designing their interfaces to look and feel cleaner, making sure to provide a great user experience.

Mobile-Friendly

The last wave we should mention is that mobile usage is on the rise. No surprise there, but with that Google has announced it will make sites that offer mobile-friendly content a higher priority in SEO rankings. You can test your site at https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/mobile-friendly/

If you enjoyed reading about these updates, email me back or sign up on our site to receive more similar to this. We promise we won't clog your inbox with unwanted material and send out only about 1 email per week. We value your time.

Thanks,

Andrew at BMC

Tickets were sold out. Boulevardiafail. So we went to Crossroads including the extremely fun spot, UpDown, which is quickly becoming a favorite for urban Kansas Citians looking for 80s/90s nostalgia. Here are a few photos...
